With the third edition,
Phoenix was expanded to a new 8.5 x 11* size. This was done to provide larger
photos. Originally it was hoped that the photos would be in color but this had
proved too costly. New for this edition are chapters on 1997 through 2000; a cover gallery of American videogame magazines and books, and several Focus-On sections containing information on pertinent people and companies. Also new for this edition is a foreword by Ralph Baer, the father of videogames. * The size of the reprinted edition is 6 x 9 |
